STV Productions has been commissioned to make a fourth series of Celebrity Catchphrase, the popular celebrity edition of ITV’s iconic game show. The order comprises 8 x 60’ episodes, including a Christmas Special.
The brand new third series of the hit show is currently airing on ITV this Sunday at 8pm and will see a host of celebs competing to win donations of up to £50,000 for their chosen charity. This Sunday’s episode sees Dan Walker, Kelly Osbourne and Tony Bellew battle it out; and next week Tim Healy, Mark Wright and Alexandra Mardell will ‘say what they see’.
Popular presenter Stephen Mulhern – as always joined by animated sidekick Mr Chips – returns as host.
Previous Celebrity Catchphrase specials have featured an array of hopeful contestants, including Tess Daly, Rob Beckett and Ruth Jones.
The last series of Celebrity Catchphrase, which aired in January 2019, attracted an average audience of 4.2 million and a 22% share.
Gary Chippington, Creative Director, Entertainment at STV Productions, said: “We’re delighted about this recommission from ITV. It’s fantastic that the appeal of the show is as strong as ever and we look forward to a brand new line-up of celebrities and some great catchphrases to keep everyone ‘pressing and guessing’ at home.”
Executive Producer for the series is Gary Chippington, Creative Director, Entertainment at STV Productions. The new episodes were commissioned by Gemma John-Lewis at ITV.
